Jack Purcell shoes were the "must have", "in shoe" when I was in junior high school. I had to have another pair. They wear like iron. I have one pair that is about 10 years old and I still wear them. Nothing beats the comfort of well broken in canvas Converse Jack Purcell - Hey these sneaks are great!! I wore them when I was a teenager, and just on a whim I looked online to see if there was any chance of getting a pair. I am so happy to have discovered Zappos- they are the best!!! Love them! These shoes have been a favorite of mine for years! They look really cute with jeans and capris. The only bad thing is they don't have much of an arch...so they're not the greatests for long days on your feet. They fit maybe just a 1/2 size big. But not to the point where I needed to send mine back for a smaller size. Mmm, Converse - I have had about 3 pairs of Purcells over my lifetime, and wore each pair many years before they fell apart. However, this is my first pair since Converse was absorbed by... was it Nike? The footbed is actually a lot MORE comfortable, and everything's a little bit thicker and cushier... BUT! I originally bought the same size I have always worn and had to return them. Something funky happened to the sizes... If you have had older Purcells, be sure to get a HALF size bigger than you are used to!
